EGCO price slips on gloomy forecast of smaller net profit in 2008 due to baht strength
Electricity Generating Public saw its share price fall nearly 2% this morning after the company’s management earlier suggested that its net profit in 2008 would be smaller than that of last year due to stronger baht and a temporary shutdown of its plants for maintenance earlier and also later in the year.
In 2007, EGCO posted a net profit of 8.4 billion baht.
Analysts reckoned that the company’s operation would return to normal level and grow again only in 2010.
This evening EGCO price settled at 75 baht a share.

ETG expects 2008 sales of THB1.25-1.3 bil due to arrivals of new clients & cheaper oil
Mai-listed, Eternity Grand Logistics, expects this year’s total sales of 1.25 - 1.3 billion baht after it has welcomed 2 new clients while its operation is likely benefit from falling oil price.
The company would also carry on with its Private Place of 25 million capital increase shares while seeking a new ally from Japan in hopes of attracting more Japanese clients.
At the closing bell, ETG share price added 0.5% at 244.09 baht.
